Curve Appeal
stophatingyourbody:

My story isn’t much different than any of the others posted here. I am 19 years old and i weigh about 175 pounds.   I was raised by a skinny obsessed mother whom i could never please. My whole life I was raised believing i was fat.  Every time I would open the fridge she would tell me ” i didnt need to eat”. She constantly was telling me to diet, bringing home diet pills for me. she even tried to talk me into getting hypnotized into loosing weight. When i was in 8th grade she talked me into getting breast reduction surgery because she said my big boobs kept me from getting enough exercise. I was told to lie to my surgeon about having constant back pain ( which i wasnt) just so they would go through with the surgery since i was only 14 .
In high school i had a group of four boys constantly harassing me about my weight. Leaving notes in my locker, muttering nasty words as i walked by. I was once told that i should  ”slit my wrists so the fat would drain out” . I HATED my body. I wouldn’t go swimming or wear shorts, no tight clothes or anything revealing. I let my shame keep me from doing things i really enjoyed.
Looking back on all that now just makes me laugh. Seeing pictures of me back then, i now realize i wasn’t even fat! I was beautiful back then and i wish i could have seen that. Im not “skinny” but i know my body is gorgeous. I love my curves and my fluffy tummy. A lot has changed since i graduated and moved out, especially my body! But I couldn’t be happier.
