I love my body but I haven’t always felt that way. It’s a process to feel positive but staying true to my personal style helps. It’s also great to see positive role models like Christina Hendricks in the media and sites like this one that promote healthy body image.
This dress is by a fantastic company called Stop Staring! Their dresses are great for women with curves.
I’m 19. 5’ 8”, 170 lbs and 43-29-40 :) My parents have always pressured me to lose weight, my dad would point out that I weighed as much as him. It took moving out and living on my own to realize that I’m not fat.
Recovering from a binge eating disorder. Learning to work with what I’ve got.

Alright, so…I’ve been slipping back into having body-image issues and after such a fight with it in the past, it’s been depressing to have it come back… But going through everyone’s posts is inspirational. I have big hips, a big bust, short thick legs, and a soft center; I wouldn’t be me without them.

Some days, I take pictures that make me feel beautiful, Sexy, desirable, yes, but it’s a bit more than that. It feels like inhabiting the role of woman in a fuller way, when you let yourself be seen by visiting eyes, as beautiful. If you’re as soft and meek as me, try to post something that can be your “happy” for the week/month/year. Catch those self-happy days for yourself, like you’d catch a moth flying from the edge of the light. Bring them back to your heart and make them last.

I have always hated my thighs and large hips when I was younger, and no matter what I did they just would not go away. No amount of starving or exercise could make me as thin and pretty as I wanted. After years of this, I just became exhausted and realized that I was born with this body and I might as well learn to love it! I’m becoming more comfortable with myself with each day :)
Find your elegance, ladies. Feel beautiful down to your toes. Because every body is gorgeous.
